New blog

Since LJ is getting hinky (a la Facebook) here's my new blog: http://maidenbedlam.wordpress.com/ It is currently unlocked and open to anyone, but if things there get weird, I'll go back to friends-only.

I don't know if I'll continue to use LJ at all to blog. I'm paid up through 2012, so I'll probably at last pop in on occasion.

A lot of people seem to be jumping ship on LJ. Not that I post all that much here, anyhow. Well, no matter where you post, it's always good to hear from you. Happy 2012!

Happy 2012 to you too! And I really miss when LJ was THE place to keep in touch with absolutely everyone, but it seems like almost everyone has given up here and has gone to Facebook or G+.

I still read here, but I have a bunch of communities I'm following so my "friends" page fills up fast. If there's stuff you really want to share or that I need to know, definitely put me on The Correspondence. For everyday updating-ness, I'll probably come upon it here eventually :)

The Correspondence goes out once a month -- LJ eventually, then you'll probably see it. I've also added you to my FB "Livejournal" filter, so you're one of the handful of people who can see my status update when I mention I've got a new blog post up.

I have a couple friends who post on Dreamwidth, but it seems like a pain in the butt to navigate so far. Let me know whe you get set up there and I'll shove my way through it :)

I'm all set up as of this morning - although I'm still figuring out their equivalent of LJ's "Friends-Page". I've posted a new entry, and it's cross-posted to my LJ account as well. Since I've included you in my access list on DW, you shouldn't have any trouble seeing it - but please do let me know.
DW feels to me like LJ used to - easy to keep in touch with lots of people - I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

OK, I set up an accoont there (maidenbedlam). I think that is the thing that makes me crazy about the mass exodus from LJ - everyhere everyone else goes, I need to make an account!
